A winter interlude between the light of Morocco and the gentleness of the kora. Xavier Gob takes you on four days of immersion in kora playing. From Saturday 5 December in the morning to Tuesday 8 December in the late afternoon. You can arrive earlier or leave later to extend your stay in Essaouira.
You will stay in Had Dra, a small rural village in the Essaouira region, in a comfortable traditional house surrounded by nature, among argan trees and olive groves. Available: nights in a dormitory or a double room, 5 bathrooms, kitchen, Moroccan lounge, roof terrace, garden, and a 120 m² music practice room.
What is included
- 5 hours of kora a day for 4 days
- Transfer between the Essaouira Medina and the accommodation, on arrival and departure
- Transfers for the afternoon visits: the Essaouira Medina, a Unesco World Heritage site, with its places linked to Gnawa culture, its craftspeople and its old streets; the ocean coast and the hinterland; the traditional souk of Had Dra. Surfing, horse riding, quad biking, hammam or massage available.

- Flights
- Transfer from the arrival airport (Essaouira, Marrakech) to the Essaouira Medina
- Accommodation, paid directly to Mâwa Art Space: €15 to €40 a night depending on the type of bed
- Meals: cooked and shared on site (€2 to €5) or at a restaurant during excursions (€5 to €15)
