The works

  1. Floors and walls

The tiling arrives: zellige laid under the canopy, bags lined up along the low wall, and a shower room already fully tiled.

    • Zellige tiles leaning against a pink low wall, beside cement bags, on a tiled floor.
    • Stacked tiles and bags lined up along a low wall, under a canopy with a tiled floor.
    • A shower room with walls fully covered in patterned zellige, with a basin and a shower.
  2. The dance studio takes shape

The frame is up and the slab rests on a forest of timber props. The volume of the room can already be read, before its walls.

    • A concrete slab held up by many timber props, in a space still open to the outside.
    • The concrete frame of a building, posts and beams, with reinforcing bars left standing on top.
  3. The courtyard and its walls

The courtyard wall is being rendered patch by patch. The ground is still that of a building site; above the low wall, the bougainvillea is in flower.

    • A courtyard wall being rendered, a low breeze-block wall and a bougainvillea in flower.
  4. Trenches in the garden

A trench runs along the garden wall, the soil piled on either side. The bougainvillea at the far end has been left untouched.

    • A trench dug along an earth wall, between a lawn and flowering shrubs.
